Preconceptions

Most of us are not aware that we have preconceptions. Our values, customs, and many other behaviors are deeply rooted in our preconceptions. For instance, in western culture burping during the meal is forbidden and not a good table manner. Do you know, however, in some culture burping is an acceptable or even desirable behavior? It can be an expression of enjoying a meal when a person is invited by friends or family. If you don’t burp, the hostess will feel offended by you not appreciating her dishes.
Ilchi Lee says that we need to look inside carefully to examine these preconceptions to free ourselves from confined ideas of who we really are.

Finding balance

When I loose my balance during my Dahn Yoga practice, my body quickly finds a way to balance itself. It is so obvious for us when we loose physical balance. How about emotional and spiritual balance in our lives? Since they are invisible and hard to recognize the imbalance, it is a good to check how our bodies feel. Achy, heavy, sore, stiff, stuffy…… These feelings are in fact good friends and wake up calls from our bodies. Ilchi Lee said we can be enlightened through body, brain and mind training as ancient people had done for thousands of years.
Check and feel your body. What is your body telling you?

The brain and vibration

Ever since I was younger., I always enjoyed vibration. When there was a bumpy road, I loved making the vibrational sounds in my throat as the car drove along the road. I enjoyed being tickled, because I could feel my laughter vibrate through my whole body. I never realized that vibration could occur in my brain, until I started practicing Ilchi Lee’s training methods.

Today, I could really feel a vibration in my brain and it woke me up right away. I had so much energy to go through my daily tasks, that I couldnt believe it!   Granted, it was a bit awkward at first, but I got used to it. Having that energy feeling really impressed me. Feeling my brain impressed me more.

The Mind Body Connection

Ilchi Lee highlights the importance of the mind and body connection. Without that connection, we cannot feel deeply nor can we experience ourselves and perfect health fully. I realized this again today as I did my training. If I could not feel my body well, I knew that I was daydreaming. when daydreaming, I was more prone to hurt myself and cause more accidental slips.

Just allow my brain to work

When I quite my mind, I can hear my heart beats. It is beating in sync with rhythm of Life. I don’t need to worry about whether my heart beats or not while I sleep. My brain is connected to the universal intelligence and commands millions of things for me. As Ilchi Lee said we don’t need to know how to build a car to drive it. Likewise we can just utilize our brains without knowing all the details of how they work.

Off the beaten path

Today, because of my new diet, I tried some new foods. I have never been a fan of seafood, but I had some today and it was actually good. In the past, I would gag. Now, I really enjoyed it.

Ilchi Lee has it right; the brain likes change!

Tested my limit

I am happy to say that today I really tested my physical limit. I held a difficult posture for a very long time (1 hour) and I felt like a whole new person now. I could never hold this posture before (sleeping tiger) and it was very hard. I sweat a lot. I cried a bit, but through it all, I actually fell asleep. Once I passed my limit, I was able to firm up my posture, gather energy, and I knocked right out in the most peaceful sleep.

Its true what Ilchi Lee says. When you overcome your limitations, you become brighter and more confident.

Healing is a purpose

Many people lack a purpose in their life. Some people are awakened to the fact that healing is a way of life and a lifestyle. I began to follow that idea 5 years ago and have not regretted it once. Just as Ilchi Lee determined to heal himself, his society, and the world, I too have decided to do that. I healed, my family healed, and I love working on others, giving them healings too (workingon society healing!). I can’t say enough positive things about how rewarding what I do is.

Heart Opening

As I did my meditation, today, I could really feel my heart opening up. I just danced freely and let all of my worries go. I felt wonderful. It reminded me, afterwards, of the video posted earlier with Ilchi Lee doing the energy dancing. I felt that wonderful and free.

Breaking a barrier

Ilchi Lee says that it takes 21 days to make a new habit & to break an old habit. Just recently, I achieved my own new habit! For 21 days, I havenot eaten my passion: chocolate! Now, whenever I crave chocolate, I pick up fruit and water instead. I’ve lost a lot of weight just through doing this. Its amazing!!
